The data below are available in .zip format for quicker, easier download. The zip files either contain files for a shapefile or an aerial photograph. The shapefile zip files contain the following files a .dbf, .met, .sbn, .sbx, .shp, .shx. The image mosaic zip files contain the following files: .sid, .sdw. and .met. There is a readme file at the root of the data directory that explains the data structure.

Note: The shapefiles contained on this CD-ROM (hawaii.shp, kauai.shp, lanai.shp, maui.shp, molokai.shp, niihau.shp, oahu_section1.shp, and oahu_section2.shp) and image mosaics are projected into the Universal Transverse Mercator System (UTM Zone 5 for the island of Hawaii and UTM Zone 4 for for all other islands, NAD83, meters). As a result, to overlay these files in ArcView®, the user needs to set the Projection parameters in the View Properties dialog box to 'UTM Zone 5' or 'UTM Zone 4'.
