What: A completed long-term database of
- sediment, fish liver, fish bile chemistry of over 80 organic and inorganic contaminants;
- fish toxicopathic liver diseases such as neoplasms and other diseases of the liver.

Where: About 120 coastal sites in the United States.
Who: A cooperative effort of NOAA Fisheries and NOAA Ocean Service.

Why: To assess historical trends of coastal contaminants. A completed long term project that collected and analyzed sediment and fish tissue from over 120 sites for residue levels of over 80 chemical and biological contaminants.
